Town and resort by the Adriatic arterial, southeast from Karlobag. In the present people visit Stari Grad not just as the trip target, but also as a place for vacation (lot of herbals, beautiful bathing). Beach Pisak is the biggest beach in this area. Stari Grad has a big accommodation capacity. The famous places are mountain Velebit and near National Park Paklenica.
On the cape Stara kula are reminds of opposite defensive tower Vecka Kula from 16th century. Near is located Romans church of St. Petr from 10th century.
